HANDS-ON COOKING EXPERIENCE AT DUTCH VILLAGE
Learn about Dutch cuisine and traditions, including a hands-on lesson in making one of Holland’s favorite desserts, Banket (BON-ket). You’ll also sample Dutch cheeses, cookies, and pastries. Each class lasts two hours, and must be scheduled at least seven days prior to arrival. The class is not available during Tulip Time. Additional Dutch Village packages include:
• The Dutch Experience (5 to 6 hours): Tour the Dutch Village theme park, participate in the cooking class, sample Dutch treats, and enjoy a traditional Dutch lunch.
• The Dutch Sampler (4 to 5 hours): Tour Dutch Village, participate in the cooking class, and enjoy coffee, tea, and Dutch treats.
DUTCH DINING & DEMONSTRATION AT FREEDOM VILLAGE
Dine in delightful Dutch elegance while enjoying the best view of Windmill Island. The chef will treat you to a delicious buffet and demonstrate how to make that day’s Dutch dessert. Everyone will receive their own copy of the Holland Junior League cookbook, Eet Smakelijk (“Eat Delectably”). You’ll also have the option of touring Freedom Village, one of the top retirement communities in the nation. For the cooking demonstration plus breakfast or lunch, plan on two hours. Add a tour of the facilities for a total of three hours.
