Due to construction at Douglas and River Avenues, the beaches are best accessed by taking US 31 or Waverly Road to reach Lakewood Boulevard, and take Lakewood Boulevard to Lakeshore Drive.


With both Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa, Holland is replete with spectacular beaches, all of which are family friendly. Holland State Park, one of Michigan’s most popular destinations, offers an expansive and energetic beach. You can swim, picnic, and fish right in the park, and launch your boat just one mile east. And Tunnel Park, also on Lake Michigan, provides the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. The unique entrance gives this park its name – a tunnel through a dune.
