Remember the old days? When the thing to do on a Friday night was to cruise Main Street? It was especially fun if you had a cool car, wasn't it? If you didn't though, you still watched everyone else. It was the place to be and be seen! You can relive those memories on 8th Street in downtown Holland.
The Holland Vintage Car Club is planning the annual "Remember When" Cruise & Car Show in Downtown Holland. "Remember When" begins with a car show at 5pm at the old Maycroft Versendaal Lincoln Mercury dealership at 124 E. 8th Street. There will be tons of cars from every era to walk around and admire. The final highlight of the evening, the Remember When Cruise, will begin at 8pm. Traffic will even run two ways on 8th Street during the cruise -just like the old days. Bring your camera, your family, and your lawn chair, and line 8th Street to watch the fun! Masks and Social Distancing are encouraged.
The Vintage Car Club of Holland is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1973 and is dedicated to ‘having fun while preserving vehicles and the old car hobby.' Their roster includes cars from every decade from 1900-2000. ‘Any year, any model, any condition.' As they say, The Vintage Car Club of Holland has been ‘Driving History for 40 Years!'
